What Does this lipid Profile Test Result Mean?

sir my name is Jees Alex, Iam aged 34,my test result(8/5/2014)is given below LIPID PROFILE CHOLESTEROL 175 mg/dl 200-239 :Borderline 240 mg/dl or greater (High) TRIGLYCERIDE, SERUM 270 mg/dl 150-199 mg/dl ( Borderline high ) 200-499 mg/dl ( High ) 500 mg/dl ( Very high ) HDL-CHOLESTEROL 45 mg/dl 55 mg/dl (Desirable) 35-55 mg/dl (Moderate Risk) LDL - CHOLESTEROL 112 mg/dl 100 - 129 mg/dl (Low risk) 130 - 159 mg/dl (Borderline high) 160 - 189 mg/dl (High ) VLDL - CHOLESTEROL 54 mg/dl FBS, PLASMA 89 mg/dl 70-110 mg/dl Notes:iam takeing rozavel for 6 months.how long i will continue medicine Mrs.

Hello

Your findings suggest raised triglyceride level.Rest of the lipid parameters are normal.Generally this condition need life long treatment.
In such condition,I suggest my patients to take tablet fenofibrate 160 mg along with rozavel(contains atorvastatin).This will better maintain lipid profile.
You should avoid fatty food and increase your physical activity.
You should go for exercise and brisk walk.
Take lot of fibres in your diet.
